Invitation to preregister - Lunch & Learn with Lynell Anderson- Moncton May 8th, Fredericton May 7th
Lunch & Learn with Lynell Anderson:
Child Care - It's More than Money
Lynell Anderson is Project Director with the Child Care Advocacy Association of
Canada (CCAAC).
She is a B.C.-based Certified General Accountant and child care advocate who has
worked with community groups, governments,
and businesses for more than 20 years. She has expertise in child care finances
and related policy development.
When it comes to public funding for quality child care services, Canada invests
less than most other industrialized countries, so it's no surprise that we also
have the fewest spaces.
But how do we make sure that more public funding for child care programs
actually increases access to quality, affordable services in communities?
How can we move from the current patchwork of underfunded services to a
comprehensive system?
Lynell will share the tools and resources that have informed the CCAAC's Child
Care Policy - Making the Connections project, which aims to support communities
and governments to analyze and promote effective early learning and child care
policy and investments.
This session will be of interest to the child care community (child care
workforce, parents, researchers) and all other interested groups and
stakeholders.
A hands-on opportunity to model child care system-building!
